WELCOME! I encourage everyone to download Lesson Plan 3: Meet Irene: From Holocaust to Hope and her trip to America on a Liberty Ship. Her story is heartbreaking yet hopeful. Anne Frank lived in the same Amsterdam neighborhood although they went to different schools. Irene saw Anne briefly on Jan. 19, 1945 at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Irene’s family was released two days later. Anne and Margot Frank died at Bergen-Belsen in February or March 1945. British troops liberated the camp 75 years ago today.
