Aug. 10, 2026 – On Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 8 p.m. ET, Judith Miller, Stories 250 editor and writer/director of the documentary Crosswinds: The Courageous Life of Cornelia Fort, will be a guest on the Commemorative Air Force’s Warbird Tube with Steve Buss, host and EAA announcer. Judith will discuss the documentary, which features the National WASP WWII Museum’s 1943 BT-13, the same year and model of the warbird in which Cornelia Fort tragically lost her life following a mid-air collision with another BT-13 near Merkel, Texas on March 21, 1943. Leslie Sargent, retired FAA Aviation Safety Inspector and Crosswinds aviation consultant, is featured in Crosswinds with an in-depth analysis of the crash.
