About Stories250

Today more than ever, original content developed by human writers who interview humans to bring readers compelling stories will never get old. With a focus on covering events anchored in history, Stories250 is the culmination of years of developing primary source articles and multimedia to honor the story of America, both the highs and the lows, and its vital integration into world events from that amazing day on July 4, 1776 in Philadelphia when against all odds, rebellious patriots declared – and then won – their independence from Great Britain.

Judith Stanford Miller, editor and co-founder of Stories250, traveled to Normandy, France on June 6, 2009 to cover the 65th anniversary of D-Day where she stood on Omaha Beach with D-Day veterans who told their stories, still overcome with emotion as they recalled the day. Judith committed then and there to keep this history alive for young and old alike. Thus, Stories250 has an extensive section on stories of WWII history told from personal stories of veterans and civilians who lived through one of the most consequential world events of the 20th century.
