Keep Your Airspeed Up: the Story of a Tuskegee Airman
Keep Your Airspeed Up, book by Harold Brown and Marsha Bordner

Keep Your Airspeed Up: the Story of a Tuskegee Airman (2017) by Harold H. Brown and Marsha S. Bordner tells the amazing story of Harold Brown who, against all odds, became a Tuskegee airman. People told him he would never be an Army pilot because he was Black. But Harold knew one day the Army would need pilots and the color of his skin would not be as important as his skills in a cockpit. He studied diligently in high school and earned a high score on the Army cadet test. The U.S. Army Air Forces accepted him. That was just the beginning of his adventure during WWII. In 1945 after he had to bail out of his P-51 over Austria, he was captured and became a German POW. He was 20 years old. His life is a timeless inspiration for all youth.
