April 16, 2026 – Redwood Educational Technologies (RET) announces today that it has launched its Stories 250 monthly newsletter. The inaugural newsletter summarizes two mysteries that Judy Miller, RET co-founder and Crosswinds: The Courageous Life of Cornelia Fort writer and director, is still researching regarding the life of Cornelia Fort, the first woman pilot to be killed while on active duty. Leslie Sargent, retired FAA inspector and Crosswinds aviation consultant, and Judy continue to research the mystery of the plane Cornelia was flying as a civilian pilot instructor when she came nose-to-nose with a Japanese Zero as the Pearl Harbor attack began on Dec. 7, 1941. And Judy continues to search for a copy of Cornelia’s war bond film that the U.S. Treasury Department produced in spring 1942. MGM Studios came to Nashville in late April 1942 to film Cornelia at the WSM radio station studio in downtown Nashville.
